A Veteran’s Perspective on Building a Successful Fleet Operation
Kent’s journey in fleet management began with hands-on roles ranging from oil changer to service manager, eventually leading to his current position overseeing all fleet services for El Dorado County. His deep industry experience, combined with the adoption of SQCore, has enabled the DOT to operate at peak efficiency.
Reflecting on the early days, Kent said:
“When I started, they had no idea how to operate an inventory. I built a parts room from scratch and introduced the county’s first computer-based system. After several failed attempts with other programs, Squarerigger’s SQ.7 (now SQCore) has been our trusted solution ever since.”
